About Session 1: The Fundamentals of LX Design

We're starting with the foundation everything else builds on: how to design a course that actually works for your learners. You'll get the framework the Pathwright LX team has used since 2011:

You'll leave with a clearer way to think about who you're teaching and how to design for them.

Who this is for

PathCamp is built primarily for admins and course designers — the people responsible for designing, building, and launching learning experiences in Pathwright. It's also for teachers who want to grow into a course designer role.
Come prepared with one course or Path in mind that you're building or want to build. We'll work through the framework using real examples.

What you'll do in this Path

1️⃣ Get oriented to PathCamp '26 and the Foundations Certificate
2️⃣ Read through the LX Design framework
3️⃣ Join the live session on June 24

Earn the Pathwright Foundations Certificate

The Pathwright Foundations Certificate is how we recognize the people who go all in on PathCamp this year. Earning it means you've spent the year developing genuine skill across the foundations of Pathwright, and you'll have a finished Path to show for it.

To complete the certificate, you'll need to do three things over the course of the year:

✅ Attend all five teaching sessions, or take the companion Paths
✅ Build one original 3–5 lesson Path on a topic relevant to you or your organization
✅ Present your Path at the November Show and Tell (Optional)
